As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Corporate Technology youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors startups and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5 years of applied experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability.
- Advanced in one or more programming languages with strong Python for automation and SQL for data manipulation and analytics.
- Proficient across the full SDLC with expertise in automation and CI/CD; advanced understanding of agile practices application resiliency and security.
- Demonstrated proficiency with cloud and data platforms including AWS and Databricks; experienced with Oracle SQL Server and AWS RDS.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services including P&L balance sheets workforce planning budgeting forecasting and financial consolidation.
- Deep expertise in IBM Planning Analytics TM1: cubes dimensions rules feeders MDX TurboIntegrator processes PAW PAFE security and server maintenance.
- Hands-on development of TM1/Planning Analytics artifacts and performance-tuned models; sets standards for modeling rules feeders and process orchestration.
- Provides technical leadership by mentoring developers managing deliverables ensuring cross-team collaboration and aligning stakeholders.
- Excellent communicator able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences; experienced in client training requirements gathering and project management.
- Builds secure high-quality production solutions with automation and API integrations (e.g. Python/TM1py) and experience with AWS or Planning Analytics SaaS.
- Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices
- Ability to work in large collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals and passionate about building an innovative culture
