What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff visitors and/or contractors at a government location by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and screen for authorized entry as required including checking credentials directing foot and vehicle traffic and/or maintaining visitor logs per site requirements.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and reporting to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Complete routine reports activity logs and incident documentation and communicate pertinent information during shift transitions to support consistent security-related operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Handcuffing Certification preferred.
- Pepper Spray Certification preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
