Job Description
As a Security Guard - Unarmed Perimeter Rounds in San Jose CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or tenant concerns communicate clearly with site contacts and document observations with attention to detail. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants visitors and contractors by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies for a commercial real estate location including emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to alarms disturbances medical situations and other incidents in a calm problem-solving manner and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors common areas loading and delivery zones and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and access concerns.
- Monitor access points and vehicle and/or pedestrian traffic verify credentials when required and assist with directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
- Complete detailed shift reports incident documentation and patrol logs and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security experience.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
