Job Description
As a Security Guard - PT Foot Patrol Rounds in Brooklyn NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter and more. Learn more: As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location you will be a visible presence while conducting routine patrols of buildings and surrounding areas watching for concerns and helping to deter security-related incidents. You will engage respectfully with residents staff and visitors communicate clearly and document observations using site technology. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a shelter location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation and contacting emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas exterior grounds and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access by monitoring entrances verifying identification as required directing visitors and maintaining a visible presence in public areas.
- Document and report security-related incidents observations and patrol activity and communicate concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have CPR certification preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
