Job Description
As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Access Control in Sulphur LA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location you will monitor entry points conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with site personnel and visitors providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a secure environment. What Youll Do:
- Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activities.
- Perform identification checks and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
- Assist with directing visitors and contractors as per site-specific protocols.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and/or security-related breaches.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities incidents and observations.
- Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting with directions and/or information related to site policies.
- Support emergency response activities as required in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Applicants must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
