As a Security Officer - Site Patrol in Bessemer AL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech campus where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet and assist employees and visitors communicate clearly with site teams and document observations and activities. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of office areas building perimeter parking areas and other assigned spaces to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow by checking identification issuing temporary credentials as required and directing employees guests and vendors according to site procedures.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation communicate significant observations to site contacts and/or dispatch and operate surveillance and communications equipment as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
