Job Description
As a Security Officer - Visitor Entry Screener in Indianapolis IN you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas while supporting security-related screening operations for people packages and access points. You will complete routine checks stay visible to help reduce incidents and communicate clearly with team members and visitors. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related screening procedures site-specific policies and/or when appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen employees visitors vendors and/or drivers entering controlled areas by verifying identification checking credentials and enforcing access requirements.
- Inspect packages bags and/or shipments as required using approved methods and equipment and document findings per post orders.
- Monitor entry and exit points assist with traffic and/or dock flow as needed and report suspicious activity or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner complete required reports and communicate updates to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- XRay Screening Experience is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
- Loss Prevention is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
