The Internship Experience
As a WM Intern you wont be sitting on the sidelines youll be in the mix. You will work alongside experienced professionals on real projects that make an impact for WM. Outside of your core work youll join skill-building workshops connect with leaders through executive roundtables and build community with fellow interns from across the country. About the Fleet Maintenance Team
This internship is part of the (heavy truck) Fleet Maintenance crewa team known for its commitment safety and sustainability. Youll get to explore projects analyze and report data from all aspects of fleet maintenance directly impacting process improvement learn how things work behind the scenes and help WM drive purpose in everything we do. Whether youre diving into data pitching ideas or helping make things run smoother what you do will matterand we want to hear what you think.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Uses problem solving skills determines problems and understand fundamental parts of the problem.
- Conducts analysis as directed and prepares and delivers insights and recommendations based on analysis.
- Synthesizes findings and draws conclusions from analyses and makes oral/written recommendations to supervisor and/or manager.
- Executes tasks directly related to functional projects and/or process improvements.
- Communicates issues and roadblocks related to areas of responsibility.
- There will be opportunities to travel to other WM sites to enhance learning.
III. Qualifications
A. Required Qualifications
- Interns must have a High school diploma or GED (accredited) and be pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelors degree (accredited) in a field of study relevant to the internship.

The expected base pay for this office/on-site position is $23.00/hour. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
