Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex Access Control in El Dorado KS you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures verifying authorization and directing individuals to the appropriate location within a chemical and petrochemical facility.
- Operate access control points by monitoring entry and exit activity checking identification and/or visitor credentials issuing temporary badges as applicable and maintaining required logs and reports.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following post orders and Allied Universal protocols and initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas including gates perimeter routes and nearby operations areas while reporting unusual activity and security-related concerns to site contacts.
- Perform routine security-related administrative tasks such as documenting incidents completing shift reports communicating key information during post transitions and supporting investigations as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
