Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex Retail Site in Irving TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine foot patrols and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support shoppers and store teams with strong customer service clear communication and prompt reporting. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to guests associates and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities in a retail location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors entrances stock areas and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns.
- Monitor for suspicious activity potential shoplifting behaviors and policy violations and report observations to site leadership and/or law enforcement as required by post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including medical calls disturbances and alarms and document actions taken in required reports.
- Control access to restricted areas assist with crowd and line management during peak shopping periods and support closing and opening routines such as door checks and perimeter walks.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
