Job Description
As a Security Guard - Unarmed Foot Patrol in Honolulu HI you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will support guests tenants and staff with strong customer service and clear communication while reporting concerns. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to guests tenants and staff by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout common areas entrances parking areas loading zones and the exterior of the property to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor for suspicious or unusual conditions enforce posted property rules when appropriate and assist with access control crowd flow and/or line management during peak shopping periods.
- Complete required reports such as incident shift and patrol activity logs and communicate observations and updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
