Job Description
As a Security Officer - Alarm Dispatch Desk in Sterling VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a leading tech and telecom location you will monitor cameras and alarm panels track activity in real time and coordinate security-related responses and communications. You will support routine patrols with clear radio and phone dispatch document incidents using computer and/or tablet tools and deliver a welcoming customer service experience. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Operate the dispatch post by monitoring alarms CCTV and access control systems documenting activity and notifying appropriate personnel per post orders.
- Receive and triage calls for service incidents and work requests then coordinate responses with on-site officers and/or client teams using radio phone and electronic systems.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner completing detailed reports and escalating issues according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas entrances and perimeter zones as assigned helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 years of security-related experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Have alarm panel experience preferred.
- Have CPR and/or First Aid preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
