Job Description
As a Security Officer - Access Check Driver in Paulsboro NJ you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will communicate clearly with employees contractors and drivers document activity and support routine patrols when needed. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures at a chemical and/or petrochemical location including verifying identification issuing visitor credentials and directing arrivals to designated check-in points.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by monitoring credential readers maintaining sign-in logs coordinating with site contacts and helping to deter unauthorized access.
- Respond to alarms access violations and other incidents in a calm problem-solving manner including notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services per post orders.
- Conduct vehicle and/or delivery screening as required such as verifying shipping documentation checking authorized routes and observing for prohibited items consistent with site procedures.
- Complete security-related reports and shift logs communicate key activity to oncoming personnel and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
- Have a TSA issued TWIC.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
