What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalating conflicts and requesting assistance from supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity identify hazards and report maintenance and/or policy concerns.
• Control access points by monitoring entrances and exits verifying authorization as required and directing visitors to appropriate areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation communicate observations and status updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision and support investigations by preserving observations and relevant details.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
