What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a shelter location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalating conflicts and requesting assistance from supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity identify hazards and report maintenance and/or policy concerns.
- Control access points by monitoring entrances and exits verifying authorization as required and directing visitors to appropriate areas in accordance with site procedures.
- Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation communicate observations and status updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision and support investigations by preserving observations and relevant details.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
