Job Description
As a Security Guard - Flex Unarmed Rover in Hackensack NJ you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail store location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floors stock areas entrances and exits and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions and document observations according to post orders and reporting requirements.
- Complete routine reports and incident documentation and assist with crowd management line control and/or loss-prevention support as directed by site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
