Job Summary:
Caterpillar is seeking a well-qualified D365 Product Manager Digital Product who willbe responsible forsupporting the full functional and technical needs of the Caterpillar Enterprise Resource Platform (ERP) template for our Caterpillar Dealers. The Caterpillar ERP solution will be built using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (Finance Project Operations) and Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (Sales Customer Service Marketing Field Service).

This role will drive the design and delivery of a modern integrated ERP and CRM solution that empowers Caterpillar Dealers tooptimizefinancial operations enhance customer engagement streamline project execution and enable data driven decision-making. The ERP templateseeksto transform dealer operations by equipping them with a unified intelligent platform that ensures operational efficiency financial accuracy customer satisfaction and global business agility.

What You Will Do:

The D365 Product Owner collaborates with stakeholders to capture and define requirements that align with both system capabilities and operational objectives. Working closely with product development engineers the Product Manager oversees and communicates progress across design development support and maintenance activities. This role also champions continuous improvement initiatives to optimize D365 operational efficiency and enhance reporting accuracy.

Key responsibilities include:

Product Vision & Strategy

Define and communicate the product vision roadmap and release plans for Dynamics 365 Finance Project Operations Retail and CE modules (Sales Customer Service Marketing Field Service) aligned with Caterpillars business goals.

Drive delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance/SCM/Project Operations/Retail/CE solutions following best practices.

Specialized in designing and developing standardized D365 implementation templates and reusable accelerators to streamline deployments.

System Ownership

Own prioritize and manage the D365 Finance Project Operations Retail and CE product backlog ensuring alignment with dealer business processes.

Stay current with Microsoft D365 updates and recommend features that enhance dealer operations across finance project execution customer engagement and retail.

Manage functional interfaces and integrations with D365 F&O and CE including setup and monitoring of Dual Write.

Requirements Definition

Collaborate with Caterpillar Caterpillar Dealers and business stakeholders to elicit analyze and document complex business requirements translating them into actionable specifications.

Partner with Microsoft and Systems Implementation Partners to translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria tailored for Caterpillars industry.

Act as the voice of the Dealer throughout the development process ensuring stakeholder and end-user needs are incorporated into the solution.

Conduct gap/fit analysis for Finance Project Operations Retail and CE workstreams.

Coordinate with other product managers for cross functional requirements and roadmap planning.

Delivery & Execution

Oversee implementation to ensure solutions meet specifications and Caterpillar quality security and usability standards.

Participate in acceptance testing training and certification of Finance Project Operations Retail and CE capabilities.

Ensure high-quality project delivery of all functional and technical deliverables with experience in system and functional testing.

Demonstrate and create demo materials showcasing the Caterpillar ERP template functionality.

Release Management

Coordinate and validate business requirements to support timely and high-quality software releases.

Facilitate sprint planning backlog refinement and stakeholder communication to ensure business value delivery.

Partner with cross functional teams to manage release dependencies clarify requirements and maintain alignment throughout the development cycle.

Manage DevOps pipelines CI/CD and environment strategies for F&O and CE projects.

Oversee Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC) managing code branches building pipelines and releases across Dev/UAT/Prod environments.

Stakeholder Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including Caterpillar Digital leads external vendors and Caterpillar Dealers.

Lead workshops and discussions with finance project operations retail and customer engagement stakeholders.

Change Management

Work with the Dealer Advisory Board to identify opportunities to improve dealer processes drive operational consistency and manage change requirements across Finance Project Operations Retail and CE.

User Training & Support

Collaborate with training departments to deliver user training programs provide ongoing support and address enhancement requests.

Produce product documentation workflows and playbooks to ensure dealer understanding and adoption of the ERP template.

Assist in resolving or remediating issues as needed.

What You Will Have:

ERP & Systems Knowledge (MS Dynamics 365 F&O CE)

Deep hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 F&O modules (Finance Project Operations Retail) and Customer Engagement modules (Sales Customer Service Field Service Marketing).

Strong background in solution development technical architecture and performance tuning.

Awareness of Microsoft release cycles and ability to assess new features for business value across F&O and CE.

Knowledge of ERP and CRM product lifecycle management including adoption and change management.

Business Analysis

Skilled in gathering and documenting functional requirements conducting gap/fit analysis and mapping dealer business processes to native D365 functionality.

Experience supporting KPIs such as financial accuracy project cost control customer satisfaction and operational agility.

Ability to identify gaps in ERP/CRM processes and design system-driven solutions.

Exposure to global rollouts multi entity implementations and regulatory compliance.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking

Analytical skills to interpret ERP and CRM data/performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Ability to support leadership with actionable insights for cost optimization project efficiency and customer engagement.

Familiarity with reporting tools (Microsoft Fabric Power BI Dynamics 365 dashboards) for ERP and CE performance.

DevOps & Environment Strategy Proven experience managing DevOps pipelines CI/CD processes and environment strategies across Dynamics 365 F&O and CE implementations.

Release & Administration Tools Skilled in using Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC) for release management environment provisioning and monitoring.

Integration Expertise Strong understanding of integration frameworks including OData REST APIs DMF Azure Logic Apps Service Bus Data Factory and Dual Write for seamless ERP CRM connectivity.

Solution Customization & Design Expertise in solution configuration customization and design within both Dynamics 365 F&O and CE modules.

Power Platform Proficiency Advanced experience with Power Apps Power Automate and Power BI enabling extension of ERP and CRM capabilities.

Cloud & Security Knowledge Solid knowledge of Azure cloud services tenant management security roles and compliance requirements for enterprise deployments.

Reporting & Analytics Handson experience with Microsoft Fabric Power BI Electronic Reporting and Dynamics dashboards to monitor ERP and CE performance.

FrontEnd Development Familiarity with modern frameworks such as React and Angular for building custom UI components and extending user experiences.

Agile Certifications (Optional) Certified in SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) and Certified Scrum Professional Product Owner (CSP PO).

Industry Experience Exposure to Dealer and Rental operations with ability to tailor ERP and CRM solutions to industryspecific requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement Experienced in leading workshops delivering demos and collaborating with finance project operations retail and customer engagement stakeholders.

Test Automation Expertise Extensive experience with modern testing frameworks for Dynamics 365 applications. Preferred exposure to Leapwork Azure App Testing Playwright with accepted proficiency in JMeter Ranorex Selenium or equivalent platforms to validate customizations integrations and performance across F&O and CE modules.

Experience:

1517 years of demonstrated work experience in ERP technologies with 10 years in Dynamics 365 F&O/AX.

Proven track record as Technical Lead / Solution Architect in 10 full cycle F&O implementations.

Experience with Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies PI planning and DevOps practices.

Exposure to global rollouts multi entity implementations and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in business & IT or a similar field.
