Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Brownsville TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and respond to alarms and customer concerns with clear professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license and an armed post requiring Texas Level III certification. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a retail grocery and/or shopping center location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalating conflicts and coordinating with site management and/or local law enforcement as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the sales floor entrances parking areas and perimeter to help to deter theft trespassing and other unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and high-traffic areas observing for suspicious behavior unsecured doors and policy violations and reporting concerns through established channels.
- Complete timely incident reports patrol logs and shift documentation preserving observations and any evidence in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Level III Armed Certification is required for Texas only.
- A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
