Job Description
As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol in Hattiesburg MS you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a busy healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related concerns. You will greet patients visitors and staff with professionalism communicate clearly and document observations using site tools and systems. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies and/or supporting emergency response activities as directed.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalating conflicts and requesting assistance from clinical staff and/or public responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings corridors entrances parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points assist with visitor direction and wayfinding and help to maintain orderly entry by verifying authorization when required by site policy.
- Document incidents patrol observations and policy violations in written reports and notify site leadership of security-related issues that may require follow-up.
Minimum Requirements:
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
