The Internship Experience

As a WM Intern you wont be sitting on the sidelines youll be in the mix. You will work alongside experienced professionals on real projects that make an impact for WM. Youll get real-world experience in key aspects of our business including a meaningful project youll own and present to senior leaders at the end of the summer while discovering what were all about. Outside of your core work youll join skill-building workshops connect with leaders through executive roundtables and build community with fellow interns from across the country. About the Collection Operations Team (Hauling / Transportation)

This internship is part of the Collection Operations crewa hauling / transportation team known for its commitment to safety and sustainability innovative thinking and collaborative spirit. Youll get to explore projects learn how things work behind the scenes and help WM drive purpose in everything we do. Whether youre diving into data creating reports pitching ideas or helping make things run smoother what you do will matterand we want to hear what you think.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Uses problem solving skills determines problems and understand fundamental parts of the problem.
Conducts analysis as directed and prepares and delivers insights and recommendations based on analysis.
Synthesizes findings and draws conclusions from analyses and makes oral/written recommendations to supervisor and/or manager.
Executes tasks directly related to functional projects and/or process improvements.
Communicates issues and roadblocks related to areas of responsibility.
Expected to do 10-15% of travel in relation to work typically within a 50-mile radius; (no overnights).

A. Required Qualifications

Interns must have a High school diploma or GED (accredited) and be pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelors degree (accredited) in a field of study relevant to the internship.

The expected base pay for this onsite/office position is $23.00/hour. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may beinfluenced by a variety of factors including the candidates relevant experience education training certifications qualifications and work location.
