Job Description
As a Security Officer - Steel Mill in Monroe MI you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing location where you will support access control by greeting employees and visitors verifying credentials issuing badges and monitoring entry points. You will remain visible conduct routine rounds document activity and communicate clearly with site teams to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license and it is a great fit for those who value teamwork integrity and a people-first culture.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees contractors and visitors by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
- Staff access control points to verify identification issue visitor credentials manage sign-in and sign-out logs and help to deter unauthorized entry.
- Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic support delivery check-in processes and coordinate with site contacts for entry approvals and/or special access requests.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
- Complete detailed reports on access activity incidents and unusual observations and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
