Job Summary
The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program Supervisor - Adult Services provides clinical leadership supervision and program oversight for FYIs adult psychiatric rehabilitation services serving individuals ages 18 and older with serious mental health conditions. This role ensures high-quality recovery-oriented and evidence-based psychiatric rehabilitation services that support adults in achieving self-defined goals related to community living employment education housing stability wellness and social inclusion.
The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining fidelity to psychiatric rehabilitation principles ensuring compliance with federal and New Mexico CCBHC standards and fostering a person-centered trauma-informed and culturally responsive program environment. This position balances clinical supervision program development quality assurance and limited direct service delivery and plays a key leadership role within the adult behavioral health continuum.
What Youll Do:
Clinical Supervision & Adult Program Leadership (Approx. 40%)
- Provide weekly individual and group clinical supervision to Adult Psychiatric Rehabilitation staff including Recovery Navigators and Certified Peer Support Specialists
- Review and approve adult psychiatric rehabilitation assessments and person-centered rehabilitation plans
- Ensure services focus on functional skill development for adult roles including independent living employment education health self-management and community participation
- Support staff in working with adults experiencing serious mental illness co-occurring substance use disorders chronic health conditions homelessness and justice involvement
- Provide consultation on complex adult cases including crisis prevention and intervention
- Maintain supervision attestation documentation in accordance with RLD Medicaid and CCBHC requirements
Program Development Compliance & Quality Assurance (Approx. 30%)
- Oversee adult psychiatric rehabilitation service delivery in alignment with CCBHC Criterion 4.i and New Mexico Medicaid PSR standards
- Ensure fidelity to evidence-based adult rehabilitation models including:
- Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Supported Employment
- Illness Management and Recovery (IMR)
- Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)
- Evidence-based social skills training
- Monitor adult program outcomes including functional improvement employment housing stability and community integration
- Conduct chart reviews fidelity reviews and documentation audits
- Lead continuous quality improvement activities and contribute to program evaluations
Direct Adult Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (Approx. 20%)
- Maintain a small caseload of adult participants with higher acuity or complex needs
- Provide direct adult psychiatric rehabilitation services including functional assessments skill-building and in-vivo coaching in community settings
- Support adults in navigating real-world environments such as workplaces housing settings healthcare appointments and community resources
- Respond to adult participant crises as clinically appropriate and in coordination with the treatment team
Administrative Leadership & Collaboration (Approx. 10%)
- Participate in adult behavioral health leadership and interdisciplinary team meetings
- Assist with hiring on-boarding and training of adult psychiatric rehabilitation staff
- Coordinate with internal FYI clinical teams and external adult-serving partners (employment housing authorities adult education healthcare providers)
- Support reporting program planning and compliance documentation
What You Need:
- Masters degree in Social Work Counseling or related mental health field
- Current New Mexico licensure as LISW LPCC LMFT or LCSW (independently licensed)
- RLD board-approved license in good standing
- Minimum three (3) years of post-licensure clinical experience working with adult populations
- Attestation of training in clinical supervision of non-clinical staff
- Demonstrated experience working with adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders
- Ability to work flexibly in community-based adult service settings
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) credential or commitment to obtain within one year
- Experience supervising multidisciplinary adult behavioral health teams including peer support staff
- Familiarity with CCBHC standards Medicaid PSR documentation and quality assurance
- Experience with adult supported employment supported education housing support or community-based rehabilitation programs
Work Environment & Expectations
- Services are primarily delivered in natural adult community settings (homes workplaces educational institutions healthcare and community locations)
- Flexible scheduling including occasional evenings may be required to support adult participant needs
- Accurate timely clinical documentation and supervision records are required to meet Medicaid and CCBHC standards
