Summary: The Clinical Supervisor supports the Director of Behavioral Health Services in ensuring provision of quality behavioral health services through different clinical review activities. The Clinical Supervisor will also maintain a caseload and provide behavioral health services to people with substance use disorder.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical supervision as needed to social workers and other clinical staff in individual and group settings.
  • Review and approve treatment plans as needed.
  • Conduct utilization reviews to ensure appropriateness of clinical services.
  • Perform chart reviews.
  • Conduct training for counselors as needed.
  • Contribute to staff performance reviews.
  • Assist with corrective active plans resulting from Compliance Officers chart reviews.
  • Conduct wellness activities with CCA staff to promote self-care wellness and prevent burnout.
  • Participate in review/update process of policies and procedures manual.
  • Maintain a caseload of integrated clients
  • Conduct intake interviews biopsychosocial assessments mental health and other screenings.
  • Formulate treatment plans and treatment plan reviews and schedule participants for services.
  • Provide individual and group counseling services using evidence-based practices.
  • Act as participants case manager coordinating care within Crossroads and provide referrals to community-based resources (healthcare social services and administrative e.g. help obtaining insurance).
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system.
  • Collect samples for toxicology tests.
  • Prepare monthly updates for court or other referring agencies.
  • Develop discharge/transfer plans.
  • Participate in staff meetings case conferences supervisory meetings and training.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • 3 years experience in an OASAS-licensed chemical dependency program
  • Excellent clinical and advocacy skills
  • Excellent clinical supervision skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong computer literacy including using electronic systems for clinical recordkeeping.
  • Commitment to and experience in working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds people with substance use disorder and people who are involved or at risk of involvement with the legal system.
  • People who have been impacted by the criminal legal system or are formerly incarcerated are strongly encouraged to apply.
