Design and Technology Teacher (Anticipated) Needed
Location: Williston Central School
The Williston Central School (WCS) is seeking a dynamic educator to join our school community as a Design and Technology Teacher. Located in Chittenden County (WCS) is a progressive learning community of dedicated faculty and staff serving approximately 610 students in grades 38. This position works with students across grades 38 with a primary emphasis on supporting students in grades 58. Preferred qualifications for this full-time position include a current Vermont Professional Educator License with an endorsement in Design and Technology Education or eligibility to obtain such licensure.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Create opportunities for students to design and apply concepts that support relevant and authentic application of science mathematics technology and engineering.
- Have expertise and knowledge of Robotics; Woodworking; Computer Assisted Design; Construction Engineering and Design; and 3D Design and Printing.
- Use technology effectively to improve student learning and prepare students for the 21st century.
- Have strong communication skills and knowledge of standards-based instruction.
- Collaborate well with colleagues to create integrated learning opportunities.
- Connect STEM practices and Maker Movement practices into the Design and Technology / Applied STEM program.
Employment start date is July 1 2026. A competitive salary and benefit package will be offered to the successful candidate based upon qualifications education and experience.
