Job Summary

Description

Georgia Military College is now accepting applications for a PRN nurse.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Student care: To include but not limited to nursing care for minor illnesses and injuriesadministration of medications implementation of health care plans medical support for school events outside of the clinic as requested (parades special events) responding to emergency medical situations conducting health screenings (such as hearing vision height and weight drug screenings.)

  • Record & Stock Maintenance: To include but not limited to maintaining health records/electronic medical record documentation and maintaining clinic stock medications and supplies.

  • Communication: To include but not limited to communicating with parents and staff (to also include health education) and referrals to community providers

  • Perform duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of the school clinic

*Criminal background check and drug screen must be cleared before any candidate may begin working.

Qualifications

Required:

Active nursing license in the state of Georgia

Preferred:

At least 2 years of experience

Active CPR card
