Graduate Transport Planner
Oxford

A specialist transport planning consultancy with a strong reputation in the development sector is looking to bring a Graduate Transport Planner into its Oxford team.

This appointment is aimed at an ambitious graduate seeking practical consultancy experience within a growing close-knit practice. The role offers a clearly structured training period exposure to active development projects from day one and a defined pathway for career progression.

The Position

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced transport and infrastructure professionals supporting the delivery of planning-related transport advice for residential commercial and mixed-use schemes.

During the first 1218 months you will gain experience across:

Preparation of Transport Assessments Statements and Travel Plans
Review of site access arrangements junction strategies and parking provision
Interpretation of local and national transport planning policy
Traffic data analysis using TRICS and other modelling tools (with mentoring and training)
Review of masterplans and architectural layouts including involvement with CAD-based design input

About You

Degree educated in a relevant discipline (e.g. Transport Planning Geography Civil Engineering or similar)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Analytical thinker with a careful detail-focused approach
Organised and capable of managing tasks across multiple projects
Motivated by development planning infrastructure and sustainable mobility
Comfortable working collaboratively while also taking initiative independently
