The Senior Facilities Coordinator oversees daily facilities operations including work order management inspections vendor coordination and maintenance documentation to ensure a safe efficient and reliable workplace. This role supports space planning and employee moves maintains safety and compliance programs provides emergency management support and assists with workplace services supplies and small facilities projects. The position requires hands-on experience with facilities maintenance including HVAC plumbing electrical and other critical building systems.

Work Location
The position will be based in the Chicagoland area at the GTI Energy Headquarters and requires onâsite presence Monday through Friday. Additional onâsite attendance may be required to support operational or safety needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day facilities operations including work order management inspections asset tracking and escalation of maintenance and safety issues
- Coordinate vendors and contractors across building services ensuring service quality documentation and invoice accuracy
- Support space planning and workplace changes (moves adds and changes) partnering with IT HR and Security to ensure smooth execution
- Maintain EHS compliance and security programs including safety walkthroughs emergency preparedness and required documentation
- Manage workplace services supplies and small facilities projects while supporting reporting KPIs and operational data integrity
Required Knowledge Skills Abilities and Other Characteristics
- Working knowledge of building and facility systems including HVAC electrical infrastructure ventilation fume hoods and gas delivery systems.
- General understanding of safety environmental and regulatory requirements applicable to facilities and laboratory environments.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with internal teams vendors and stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Collaborative service-oriented mindset with a focus on safety reliability and consistent follow-through.
Education and Experience
- 8 years of relevant professional experience with an Associates degree or
- 10 years of relevant professional experience with a high school diploma
- 35 years of experience in facilities maintenance or workplace operations (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with HVAC electrical plumbing life safety and other building systems (preferred)
- Experience coordinating vendors and using CMMS/work order systems (required)
- Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $31.25- $39.25 USD Hourly. This hourly range is GTI Energys good faith estimate and the actual hourly/salary may vary based on a number of factors including but not limited to GTI Energys business or organizational needs and an individuals relevant experience education qualifications certifications skills seniority geographic location and/or performance. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate monthly rate or annual salary only and do not include bonus. The range listed is just one component of GTI Energys total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses paid time off and region-specific benefits.
