DescriptionOur Rack Power Distribution Unit (rPDU) division designs and manufactures electrical distribution equipment for datacenters. Due to continued growth we are seeking to recruit ambitious and motivated VAVE engineers with electro-mechanical backgrounds to join our team. A VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) Engineer optimizes product value by reducing costs while maintaining or enhancing quality functionality and performance. They analyze designs materials and manufacturing processes collaborating with R&D procurement and production teams to implement cost-effective solutions and improve will be rewarded with a market-leading salary excellent opportunities for development and extensive technical support. This is an opportunity to become a key part of the ongoing success of one of the best companies to work for in the datacenter infrastructure industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Reduction & Analysis: Identify and implement opportunities to reduce product costs through teardowns benchmarking and cost modeling (material labor logistics).
- Design Improvement: Utilize CAD/CAE tools for 3D modeling detailed drawings and tolerance analysis.
- Manufacturability (DFM/DFS): Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Service (DFS) principles to enhance production efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineering procurement and manufacturing teams to validate and implement engineering changes.
- Testing & Validation: Coordinate component qualification prototyping and testing to ensure performance standards are maintained.
- Documentation: Maintain DFMEA PFMEA engineering documents and technical reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks Creo (preferred) NX) and FEA tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. metal fabrication molding assembly).
- Knowledge of cost-reduction methodologies (Value Engineering/Value Analysis).
- Experience with BOM (Bill of Materials) management.
