Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Wound Care team and make a difference for our patients and our community.
We are Minnesotas first verified Burn Center and have 18 beds; 8 are designated as critical care and 10 as non-critical. The Burn Center offers critical care and burn management to both adults & pediatric patients with thermal electrical radiation and chemical injuries Patients with frostbite limb reattachments necrotizing soft tissue infections and other acute dermatological conditions are also cared for on this unit. The nursing staff is trained to operate all critical care and hemodynamic monitor equipment.

Work Schedule:0.80 Days. Requires weekend every 3rd or 4th weekend
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Nursing
Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
Demonstrated expertise with negative pressure wound therapy (wound vacs); willing to provide occasional support in the operating room
CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
Current evidence-based practice across a wide variety of wound care modalities including surgical pressure vascular and traumatic wounds
Strong knowledge of wound assessment staging and documentation standards
Current evidence-based practice across a wide variety of enterostomal therapies including pre and post surgical education ostomy and fistula management and peristomal skin care
Ability to collaborate closely with physicians including providing stoma site marking support in the operating room
Availability to work every fourth weekend
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified in Wound and Ostomy (CWON) preferred; Current WOC students considered
BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
Clinical wound care and ostomy experience preferred including management of complex and non-healing wounds and ostomy education and care management
One year of acute careRN experience is preferred
