Prepares processes cuts and stains histology sections to be diagnosed by a Pathologist or investigator.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepares histology sections by processing tissue and embedding cutting and staining prepared sections.
- Performs special techniques such as immunohistochemical techniques and stains and cutting of frozen tissue.
- Prepares and changes solutions and reagents.
- Performs general maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Maintains supply and chemical inventories.
- Cleans and prepares staining set and conducts quality control.
- Performs record keeping and clerical support functions.
- Assists supervisor with other duties and special projects as needed.
