Assistant ProfessorofProject Management
Jacksonville State Universitys AACSB-accredited College of Business and Industry invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Project Management position in the Lyons & Company Inc. Department of Management and Marketing with an anticipated start date of August 1 2026. The successful candidate will join a dynamic faculty committed to excellence in teaching scholarly activity and service to the university and the broader community.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach project management as well as other Business courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levelsacross multiple delivery formats. The candidate is also expected to engage in scholarly research and publish peerreviewed papers in their field consistent with AACSB addition the candidate will participate in service activities for the department school and university as appropriate to their academic rank.
Minimum Qualifications for Candidates:
Earned Ph.D. DBA or ABD in Project Management Information Systems Business Administration Management Science Business AnalyticsOperations ResearchEngineering Management or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited university by the start date.
Evidenceof ability to teach at the college level.
Demonstrated potential for scholarly publications and research activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
Relevant experience in project management.
Proficiency in project management software and simulation tools.
A record of excellence in teaching and mentoring students.
Proven success in curriculum development and innovation.
Familiarity with online and hybrid course delivery.
A record of peerreviewed publications.

Researchstatement: A summary of the applicants research accomplishments current projects and future scholarly agenda that demonstrates potential for sustained are encouraged to include publication status details and research profiles (e.g. ORCID Google Scholar Scopus or Web of Science).
Evidence of teaching effectiveness if available (evaluations awards etc.)
Unofficialtranscripts: A copy of academic transcript(s) showing relevant degrees transcripts will be required upon hire.
Review of applications will begin on March 23 2026. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by this date but the review will continue until the position is filled.
