Requirements: Bachelor of Education Degree Bachelor of Social Work Masters in Counselling
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- Promote family involvement and increase family participation in educational personal social and/or vocational planning for students.
- Comply with guidelines for Practice including developmental guidance instruction individual student planning responsive services and school/community support systems.
- Experience teaching in an Elementary setting with knowledge of English Language Learners.
- Participate in staff development professional learning communities and other meetings as appropriate
- Knowledge and familiarity with Assessment for Learning Literacy and Differentiated Instruction practices.
- Effective organizational skills and classroom management skills are imperative.
- A strong ability to build relationships with Elementary school students.
- Strong technology skills are required with knowledge of Google Platform applications and PowerSchool an asset.
- Student centered approach to instruction and strong relationship building skills.
- Ability to design program and implement support for students with mental health disorders and neurodivergent students.
- Strong collaborative team player and a positive staff member.
- Dedication to First Nations Metis and Inuit Education.
- Other dues as assigned by the school principal.

All candidates must hold or be able to obtain an Alberta Teaching Certificate have knowledge of curriculum and teaching experience at those levels/subject areas and demonstrated interpersonal and classroom management skills
