Job Title: Bilingual Medical Assistant

Position Summary:
North Ave Immediate Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Bilingual Medical Assistant to join our busy urgent care team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care support clinical operations and communicate effectively with English and Spanish-speaking patients. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced immediate care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients verify insurance and update medical records
Assist providers with examinations procedures and treatments
Perform vital signs intake assessments and patient histories
Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider
Conduct point-of-care tests (strep flu urinalysis glucose etc.)
Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean safe clinical environment
Support front desk tasks including scheduling answering phones and patient communication
Translate and communicate medical information accurately between patients and medical staff
Ensure proper documentation in the EMR system
Assist with triage and patient flow to ensure smooth operations
Follow all clinical protocols infection control standards and HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Medical Assistant certification (CMA RMA CCMA etc.) preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish required
Previous urgent care or clinical experience preferred
Strong communication multitasking and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient populations
Basic proficiency with EMR systems
Work Schedule:
Flexible hours; weekends and evenings may be required depending on clinic needs.
