Job Summary
Mills Machinst with Okuma machine experience preferred not necessary. Training days for now 5:30am- 4:00pm and will transition to weekend shift in the next month or so to Friday Saturday Sunday 6:00am -6:30pm work 36 and paid for 40. Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mill Machinist to operate milling machines and produce precision metal parts and components. The ideal candidate will have experience with manual and CNC milling equipment a strong understanding of technical drawings and a commitment to quality and safety. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate milling machines (manual and/or CNC) to produce parts according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and CAD models. Select appropriate tools fixtures and materials for each job. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure accuracy and quality. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g. calipers micrometers). Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Collaborate with engineers and other machinists to improve processes and resolve issues. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred. Proven experience as a mill machinist or in a similar role. Proficiency in operating manual and CNC milling machines. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a machine shop environment. Preferred Skills: Experience with CAD/CAM software. Knowledge of G-code and CNC programming. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Environment: Manufacturing or machine shop setting. May require standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials.
