Job Summary

Destination Geneva National seeks a meticulous and reliable part-time Night Auditor to join our growing hospitality team. The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions during the 11pm-7am night shift reconciling accounts and providing exceptional customer service to guests during late hours. This role requires excellent attention to detail strong mathematical skills and the ability to work independently. This is an in-person position based at Lodge Geneva National located in charming Lake Geneva FUNCTIONSPrimary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Complete Night Audit (posting charges identifying and correcting discrepancies and running daily reports) in an accurate and timely mannerComplete close day procedures and prepare reports for multiple venues and departments including Food & BeverageFollow procedures to maintain balance of all house accounts including running preliminary reconciliationsTransmit credit card batchesComplete daily night audit checklistPrepare and distribute Flash and other daily reports for managementAct as front desk agent during overnight shift including:Check in/out processesAnswer phonesMake reservationsHandle guest requests and answer any questionsSUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONSIn addition to performance of the essential functions this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions with the percentage of the time performing each function to be solely determined by the director based upon departmental and hotel guest with information regarding hotel facilities and local common area/lobby is to guest complaints and requests at a high customer service other duties as school or equivalent education preferredOne to three years related experience and/or trainingOr equivalent combination of education and experienceWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to stand and exert well-paced ability for up to 8 hours in lengthMust be able to reach other departments of the hotel in a timely mannerMust be able to work in limited space must be able to lift up to 15 lbs occasionallyRequires grasping writing standing walking repetitive motions bending climbing listening and hearing ability and visual acuityTalking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests supervisors and subordinatesAbility to spend extended lengths of time viewing a computer screenVision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perceptionRequires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipmentMust have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers printers 10-key adding machine electric typewriter multi-line touch tone phone filing cabinets fax machines photocopiers dolly and other office equipment as FACTORSThe attributes listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability be able to speak read write and understand EnglishMust be able to read and write to facilitate the communication processRequires good communication skills both verbal and writtenMust possess basic computational abilityMust possess basic computer skills (Windows and Microsoft Office)Can identify and resolve problems in a timely mannerAble to deal with frequent change delays or unexpected knowledge of the city where hotel is located and its attractionsExtensive knowledge of the hotel its services and to problem solve and maintain composure and objectivity under pressureAbility to manage multiple tasks prioritize effectively and meet deadlinesWork as part of a team but primarily work independently
