The Town of Brookline is seeking a Part-Time Senior Clerk-Typist to join the Town Clerks Office. This position provides administrative and customer service support to ensure smooth operations and accurate maintenance of public records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with creating and maintaining public records including birth death and marriage certificates.
- Process dog licenses voter registrations and election preparation.
- Respond to public inquiries and requests for information.
- Additional hours may be required during elections and the annual census.
- Performs all other duties as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required plus two years of office and customer service experience.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prior municipal experience and/or familiarity with election processes preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of office practices and procedures; familiarity with statutes and regulations related to Town Clerk responsibilities including state and federal elections.
- Ability to organize time manage tasks independently and communicate effectively with the public.
- Strong customer service written and oral communication and organizational skills.
