Job Summary: The Supply Chain Intern will assist with maintaining supplier certifications tracking purchase orders and supporting process improvements across various supplier management and procurement initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience with ITAR compliance cost savings tracking and process optimization. This internship is located at the American Rheinmetall Auburn Hills MI location. Essential Functions: - Maintain and track supplier certifications and compliance documentation.
- Monitor and track purchase orders with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Support the NDA process and assist in improving related workflows.
- Contribute to the Supplier Capabilities Matrix and Cost Savings Idea Tracker.
- Participate in the Payment Terms Improvement Project and interplant purchase process improvements.
- Review procedures and documents improvements.
- Assist in coordination of shipments.
- Data pulls for weekly Aged Requisitions Open POs Past Due POs reports.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory responsibility Minimum Qualifications: - Strong attention to detail in tracking certifications orders and compliance.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
- Ability to assist with process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
- Familiarity with ITAR regulations and supplier compliance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.
Education & Experience Background Prerequisites: Must undergo and meet company standards for background check employment verification reference checks physical and controlled substance testing.
