Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 2 years of experience working within an Accounting Department (preferred)
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Advanced Excel specialist proficient in complex data reconciliation
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with an ability to identify discrepancies
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Open to change and willing to learn
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow up on pending issues
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Google applications
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Sage Intaact eFinance or similar)
- Experience processing payroll through Paylocity or similar
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare correspondence forms manuals reports and payment authorizations
- Oversee month-end close process including account reconciliations and journal entries
- Ability to process payroll and associated required reporting
- Receive and process accounts payable invoices for timely payment
- Assist in developing establishing and implementing Finance Department operational policies
- Ensure all Finance Department deadlines are met by setting monthly quarterly annual goals and timelines
- Research and resolve routine internal and external inquiries
- Assists in planning preparing and managing budget activities
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data for state and federal reporting.
- Collect fiscal and operational data to assist with the completion of monthly quarterly and annual reports
- Monthly Bank Reconciliation
- Coordinate annual audit activities and reporting
- Manage and assist with day-to-day operations
- Develop reports and templates
- Perform any Finance Department functions as needed
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
