Job Summary
Service Technician
Department: Service
Reports To: Service Manager
Salary Range $25.00-$35 based on talent level
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our growing service team. The ideal candidate will diagnose repair and maintain vehicles to manufacturer standards while delivering exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong technical ability efficiency and a commitment to continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer standards.
- Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend additional services as needed.
- Diagnose mechanical and computerized vehicle systems.
- Repair engines transmissions brakes and suspension systems.
- Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation.
- Operate dealership diagnostic equipment and special service tools safely and efficiently.
- Stay current with technical service bulletins be able to navigate workshop manuals and follow repair instructions effectively.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of automotive technical training program preferred.
- Previous experience as an automotive technician strongly preferred.
- Manufacturer certifications are a plus.
- National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high-production environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
