As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within theConsumer and Community Branch workplace technology team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Partners and collaborates with product architecture security and operations teams prioritize reliability and embed best practices across the software development lifecycle to improve operations across the Branch Products.
  • Lead and develop resilient software solutions that improve reliability scalability and system performance of the Branch Systems.
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external and internal teams to outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
  • Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience.
  • Full-stack development with Java and the Spring ecosystem to build and maintain scalable applications.
  • Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages/platforms such as: Java Spring Boot Photon React or TypeScript SQL Restful Microservice AWS Kubernetes and Postgres.
  • Prior experience with Spring Framework Spring Boot and Web Services
  • Recent experience with a cloud platform (such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry/AWS) or container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience leading technology projects and managing technologists
  • Ability to design and architect new applications utilizing leading edge technologies
  • Expertise in application data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. artificial intelligence machine learning)
  • AWS Certifications ( Architect Associate)
  • Enterprise-scale AWS expertise designing and operating secure highly available multi-account environments (Organizations Control Tower) leveraging IaC (CloudFormation/Terraform) VPC networking (Transit Gateway) identity and encryption (IAM KMS) observability (CloudWatch)
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
