Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Location: Alfond Center for Health Augusta
Schedule: Part-time (24 hours/week) Monday - Thursday

Shift: Evenings (2:30p - 9p)

Your Role: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Perianesthesia

• As a CNA in Perianesthesia you will provide essential patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse supporting patients before and after surgical and procedural interventions. You will assist with monitoring comfort measures hygiene mobility and timely communication of patient needs or status changes to the clinical team.
• In this fast-paced procedural environment youll play a key role in ensuring patient safety comfort and dignity while upholding the mission values and standards of MaineGeneral Health.

What Youll Do:

• Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice. Assists patients with meeting their emotional physical and spiritual needs.
• Greets patients and visitors. Answers screens and routes telephone calls. Calls codes pages and overhead announcements as requested.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical mental and emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked clean and orderly.

What You Need:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
• Previous experience in PACU surgical or acute care setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of post-operative care and monitoring.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate and patient-focused with a strong attention to detail.
