Job Summary

We offer multiple venues for dishwashers including Geneva Nationals Clubhouse restaurant turf smokehouse our five-star Hunt Club Steakhouse Lodge GNs Crafted Italia and in our banquet kitchens. This is a great opportunity for an entry-level position into a career in Culinary leading up to prep and line cook positions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Sort scrape and rinse dirty dishes glasses tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through industrial proper placement and arrangement for optimal cleaning.

Wash pots pans and trays by hand.
Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cooks line and other proper storage areas.

Remove trash and deposit in dumpster to maintain cleanliness in kitchen. Sweep up trash around dumpster.
Set up or break down dishwashing area.
Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
Sweep/mop floors and wipe down surfaces as directed.
Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry and clean.

Break down boxes as needed.
Monitor dishwashing equipment to ensure proper functioning. Notify Manager anytime dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents. Never touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing your hands first.

Communicate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure efficient flow of dishes and utensils during busy service periods.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours or more per shift).
Ability to lift push pull and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
Frequent bending stooping squatting reaching and twisting.
Repetitive hand wrist and arm movements while washing and handling dishes.
Ability to work in hot humid and wet conditions and around cleaning chemicals.
Must be able to move quickly and safely in a busy kitchen environment including on wet or slippery floors.
Ability to visually inspect work areas and hear verbal instructions in a noisy setting.
