We are looking for experienced and talented storyboard artists to join the team on one of our 2D animated series. The storyboard artist must have a passion for drawing and translating a story into a visual medium.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the Director and Storyboard team to create high-quality dynamic storyboard panels that reflect the Directors vision
- Using scripts and thumbnails to design boards in conjunction with the Director and Storyboard Supervisor to produce fully realized storyboards including action descriptions dialogue camera moves cuts hook-ups etc.
- Maintaining awareness of the shows continuity and ensuring the style and quality of the production is consistently met in board work
- Communicating progress or issues with Directors Storyboard Supervisor and Production to ensure all deadlines are met
- Pitching thumbnails / rough storyboards and revise based on feedback
- Using existing templates and following established formatting guidelines and naming conventions
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 2 years experience as a Storyboard Artist for a 2D animated series is preferred
- Outstanding drawing skills and sense of appeal design character staging and composition
- Strong understanding of storytelling principles and techniques
- Strong posing acting and dramatic and comedic timing skills
- Ability to receive constructive feedback in a professional and positive manner
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Toon Boom Storyboard Pro
- Please provide a link to your portfolio or work showcasing 2D storyboards or animatics (before revisions if possible). Preschool-appropriate samples are preferred if available
