Modern Packaging seeks a Mechanical Drafter responsible for supporting the Mechanical Engineering group with regards to basic designs as well as documentation.
Principle duties:
- Create 2D documentation with appropriate dimensions and tolerances from 3D model
- Basic design work under engineering or management supervision
- Prepares proper bills of material based on design
- Create and manage the assembly documentation for all machine projects on the production floor
- Support Technical Writing Personnel with creation of manuals
- Assist Aftermarket team with identifying components on equipment updating manual drawings and updating Bill of Materials.

These components along with local and national compensation survey data contribute to determining a candidates potential starting rate of pay. Total compensation includes your base salary medical/dental/vision insurance life insurance disability paid time off and a retirement savings plan with company match. There is no waiting period for benefits you are eligible on your first day of employment. Base Salary Range: $30-$40 per hour.

Requirements/Capabilities:
- Solid understanding of drafting
- Basic understanding of design
- Ability to work independently and with limited day-to-day supervision
Experience/Training:
2 yrs experience Manufacturing
1 yrs experience Mechanical Drafting
- Experience working with Autodesk Inventor preferred
Education:
High School Diploma
Technical Trade School or Associate Degree preferred
