We are currently looking for a medical assistant (36 hours/week) to support the Allergy and Pulmonary Medicine departments at the Stillwater Specialty Clinic. This position is eligible for full-time benefits including medical and dental insurance. Applicants do not need previous experience or training/certification as a medical assistant but do need to meet the minimum requirements for the position.

Job Description:
As a provider assistant at HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater you are responsible for a variety of patient care duties and other related duties in the clinical setting that include documentation of medical information administration of medications/vaccinations and treatments as well as obtaining medical histories vital signs etc.
The provider assistant assists the healthcare providers in the timely delivery of services per physician/RN direction and according to Clinic policies and procedures.
All programs and activities are designed to support the short- and long-term mission vision goals and objectives of HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater.
Responsibilities:
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Take vital signs and document findings in the patient record
- Review annual wellness questionnaire with appropriate patients
- Administer immunizations
- Monitor messages and relay clinician responses via phone calls
- Enter orders for laboratory services
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with or without certification (AAMA or AMT) OR
- Current LPN (MN and WI license required) OR
- Graduate of an accredited EMT program plus current EMT license (national and Minnesota)
PLUScurrent CPR certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year medial assistant or LPN experience in a clinic.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record software.
All candidates should have excellent verbal and written skills; excellent customer services skills; tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions with patients families and care team members; An ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in all interactions; Understanding of patient education needs able to effectively share information with patient family members and care team members as needed; Ability to learn retain information regarding patient care procedures; Ability to plan prioritize and complete delegated tasks; Ability to remain calm in stressful situation; Experience with Epic preferred.
