Job Description: Enfield Public Schools is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting the health and well-being of students ensuring they are ready to learn and succeed in a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to students including first aid medication administration and management of chronic health conditions.
Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with specific health needs.
Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify and address health issues that may impact learning.
Collaborate with teachers parents and healthcare providers to support students health and educational needs.
Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with state and district policies.
Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community.
Respond to health emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.
Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) or an Associates degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience.
Valid Connecticut nursing license.
Certification in School Nursing preferred.
Experience working with children and adolescents in a healthcare or educational setting.
Strong knowledge of pediatric health public health and school health practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse school community.
