This is a12monthcontract-to-hireopportunity and will behybridon site Tuesday Wednesday and ThursdayinCharlotte NC. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
Position Overview:
The right candidate will be a hands-on developer-grounded Technical Solution Architect who can design and govern high-volume event-driven AWS integrations in a rapidly scaling multi-SaaS environment.
This is an architecture-first integration-heavy AWS event-driven systems role not DevOps not business architecture and not a senior developer trying to level up.
WhatYoullBe Doing:
- Proactive Architecture Planning
- Meet regularly with PMs and POs to understand whats coming
- Anticipate integration needs before dev begins
- Design scalable API and event-driven communication patterns
- Define architectural standards and reusable patterns
- Design & Document Architecture
- Create detailed architectural diagrams
- Lay out data flow patterns (API Event Bus Lambda downstream system)
- Ensure designs stay within enterprise guardrails
- Handle architectural layout for high-volume integrations
- Event-Driven System Architecture (AWS-Based)
- Design patterns leveraging:
- AWS Lambda
- Event buses
- Queues
- API integrations
- Define how external data enters flows through systems and persists
- Design resilient fan-out event communication models
- Technical Governance
- Present architectural decisions to development teams
- Ensure stories are properly broken down
- Validate that implementations match architecture intent
- Evaluate and improve technical standards and processes
- Maintain production integrity
- Cross-Functional Communication
- Meet with business stakeholders and vendors
- Translate technical direction clearly and confidently
- Maintain discretion avoid technical oversharing
- Speak with authority grounded in experience
WhatYoullNeed to Have:
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a seasoned Technical Solution Architect with a strong software development background (Python/C#) deep AWS event-driven integration expertise and experience designing high-volume scalable API architectures in a rapidly growing SaaS environment.
- Experience handling high-volume / high-throughput systems (millions of transactions/hour)
- Technical Background:
- Hands-on experience in software development
- Experience with programming languages such as C# and Python
- Experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL
- Experience working with APIs event-driven processing and third-party integrations.
- Engineering Practices:
- Knowledge of strategic IT solutions and best practices including CI/CD deployment and mature SDLC practices.
- Problem Solving and Communication:
- Excellent analytical organization and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills (presentations documents emails)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Pay Range:$85-$90/hr
