Job Summary:

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is seeking an experienced professional for our Equal Employment Opportunity Officer/Investigator. Under general direction the incumbent performs work of considerable difficulty in the coordination of the Departments equal employment opportunity in all areas of employment including selection promotion assignment transfer training and compensation of employees. This classification isuncovered; the incumbent serves at the pleasure of the Director of the Department of Public Safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Law Public Administration or related field from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of professional experience in conducting administrative investigations or three (3) years of experience in civil rights and equal employment opportunity or related programs. Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver license.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Office setting.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Statewide travel may be required.

Retirement:

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period. The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement. You will also have the option to participate in a voluntary deferred compensation program to take advantage of tax-deferred retirement investments.
