Title: Key Account Manager Director Key Accounts (bipolar disorder)

Position Summary
The Key Account Manager (KAM) Director is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of Key Account Managers (KAMs) who engage with key accounts specializing in bipolar disorder. This role focuses on providing strategic leadership ensuring alignment with company objectives and optimizing the performance of the KAM team. The KAM Director serves as the primary point of accountability for the teams success partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive business objectives cultivate relationships with key accounts and deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead mentor and manage a team of Key Account Managers (KAMs) to achieve sales performance and strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement team strategies to align with company objectives and key account engagement priorities.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and team coaching sessions to monitor performance provide feedback and identify opportunities for professional development.
  • Ensure KAM activities and account strategies are executed effectively and in compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with client and Amplity senior leadership to set goals define priorities and create strategic plans for key account engagement.
  • Oversee the development and execution of account plans created by KAMs ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Analyze team performance metrics market data and competitive intelligence to refine strategies and identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of initiatives.
  • Serve as an escalation point for KAMs to address challenges with key accounts and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior-level stakeholders within key accounts to strengthen partnerships and optimize collaboration.
  • Represent the company in high-level discussions with key accounts key opinion leaders (KOLs) and industry stakeholders to establish credibility and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Utilize CRM tools and other reporting platforms to monitor team performance track key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and deliver regular reports and presentations on team progress challenges and opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Ensure all activities conducted by the KAM team are fully compliant with regulatory guidelines corporate policies and ethical standards.
  • Drive a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement within the KAM team.

Key Working Relationships

  • Directly manages a team of Key Account Managers (KAMs).
  • Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams
  • Engages with senior client leadership stakeholders at key accounts including psychiatrists clinical directors and administrators.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required masters degree a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical sales or account management experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing teams.
  • Proven success in leading account teams within the CNS or mental health space with experience working with healthcare institutions academic centers or large healthcare systems.
  • Strong understanding of the bipolar disorder therapeutic landscape
  • Launch experience preferred
  • Exceptional leadership coaching and team development skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze complex data identify opportunities and implement actionable plans.
  • Strong interpersonal negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools data reporting platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comprehensive understanding of bipolar disorder including its symptoms treatment protocols and patient impact.
  • Deep awareness of healthcare regulations formulary processes and access dynamics within key accounts and large systems.
  • Ability to travel weekly as needed
  • Technical aptitude with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel PowerPoint digital meeting platforms
  • Valid drivers license with safe driving record required
  • Successfully pass all required Amplity and client training

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company you may be required to submit and maintain credentials such as training vaccinations and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. It is the Companys expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.

Additionally certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time representatives working in the District of Columbia City of Chicago State of Nevada State of Oregon or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change including the potential for additions or the event of any significant changes you will be notified accordingly.
