The Finance team plays a crucial role in supporting the companys growthobjectives from financial planning and analysis to risk management and compliance werecommitted to driving efficiency and maximizing value across the organization.

AsHead of Reinsurance Accounting you will lead the reinsurance accounting function and act as akey partnerto the Chief Accounting & Tax Officer FP&A Reinsurance and Treasury teams.

Your Mission

AsHead of Reinsurance Accounting you willbe responsible forleading transforming and securing all reinsurance accounting activitiesof the companywhile managing aspecialized teamand driving a major system implementation.

Your mission spansfivemain pillars:

1. Reinsurance Treaty Management & Technical Expertise

  • Maintain thereinsurance treaty repositoryand ensureaccuratesetup across all systems (current andxLayer).
  • Validatecomplex treaty structuresand accounting treatment (proportional non-proportionalLoss portfolio transfer etc.) in compliance withlocal GAAP and Solvency II.
  • Oversee theproduction and quality controlof reinsurance account statements before submission to reinsurers.
  • Act as thetechnical referenceonreinsuranceaccounting matters within the Finance function.

2. Financial Closing Reporting & Compliance

  • Leadquarterly close activitiesfor reinsurance accounting: prepare and justify inventory entries (accruals provisions deferrals).
  • Validatecession ratesdisplayed in financial statements and ensure accuracy of reinsurance data.
  • Monitorreinsurancerecoverablesand theircredit risk(Solvency IISCR) and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Interface withexternal auditorson all reinsurance accounting matters.

3. Cash Management & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Coordinate withTreasury/Cash teamson reinsurer payment tracking and collections.
  • Managerelationships with reinsurerson accounting matters and settlement disputes.
  • Collaborate with theReinsurance departmenton treaty placement renewals and accounting implications.
  • SupportFP&Aon reinsurance budgeting forecasting and performance analysis.

& Finance Transformation

  • xLayeris the new tool being deployed by the Group to manage reinsurance treaties.
  • Lead theaccounting workstreamforxLayerimplementation:validateprocess redesign arbitrate system configuration decisions and ensureaccountingand regulatory compliance.
  • Represent accounting interests in thesteering committee: challenge delivery timelines escalate blockers and drive cross-functional stakeholder alignment.
  • Ensure asuccessful go-live: validate UAT completenessmonitoradoption and drive rapid issue resolution during stabilization phase.
  • Championprocess transformationand continuous improvement across the reinsurance accounting function before and post implementation of the tool.

  • Develop team capabilities: driveperformance management cross-training and career progression.
  • Allocate workload effectivelymonitorteam performance and ensurework-life balance.
  • Fostercollaborationwith other finance functions and promote a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

What You Bring

  • Significant experience(10 years)inAccounting with a strong focus onreinsurance and technical insurance accounting within aninsurance group or regulated financial institution.
  • Proventrack recordinleading accounting teams including at least several years in amanagerial positionwithin reinsurance or technical accounting.
  • Deep knowledge ofFrench GAAPand strong familiarity withSolvency IIreporting requirements particularly related to reinsurancerecoverablesand ceded business.
  • Strongexpertiseinreinsurance treaty accounting(proportional non-proportionalLoss Portfolio Transfer etc.) andreinsurance account statement production.
  • Solid understanding ofFrench GAAPand experience with quarterly/annual closing processes.
  • Demonstrated experience infinance transformation projects(ERP implementation system migration process redesign automation initiatives).
  • Experience working inmulti-entity cross-functional environments with the ability to collaborate effectively with Reinsurance Treasury FP&A and Risk teams.
  • Full professionalproficiencyinFrench and English(spoken and written).

  • Resilient and adaptable able to navigate ambiguity during transition periods andmaintainoperational excellence.
