We are seeking a Fire Protection Designer to join our Philippines Team based in the Philippines.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Apply sound engineering techniques and methodologies using international fire protection design standards including AU/NZ UK US and UAE codes supporting projects in Australia the Philippines the Middle East and other international locations
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of effective fire protection measures in compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Conduct fire risk assessments for a range of building types infrastructure and industrial facilities identifying and prioritizing potential fire hazards
- Design fire protection systems such as fire alarms sprinkler systems and suppression systems taking into account environmental regulatory and projectspecific requirements
- Present engineering solutions during concept and schematic design stages and assist in the preparation of concept and scheme design reports
- Prepare detailed engineering designs using established design principles under the guidance of senior engineers where required
- Produce design documentation including drawings markups calculations material quantity takeoffs technical specifications and reports
- Identify potential risks or deviations from the project scope and support senior team members in assessing impacts on scope and fees
- Participate in internal design reviews and quality checks to ensure compliance with project and company requirements
- Support tender submissions and contract administration activities as required
- Provide construction support during project delivery responding to technical queries and design clarifications
What you will bring to the team:
- Minimum 3 years relevant post-graduate experience
- Proficient in the application of international design standards such as Australian/NZ USA UK and UAE
- Proficient in the following fire protection engineering design fundamentals: fire protection system including FDAS.
- Experience and working knowledge in Fire protection Hydraulic software such as Elite Fire or FHC Canute
- Revit knowledge including experience in BIM 360
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (officebased and workfromhome)
This job offer can be based either in Makati Quezon City or Cebu depending on your home base/location.
Candidates must be a Filipino citizen or have the right to work in the Philippines.
